The Cook Rutledge House is located in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.[1]
History
The house was built by future Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin James M. Bingham and his wife, Justine. After James' death, Justine sold the house in 1887.[2] A number of owners would reside in the house, including a Chippewa County, Wisconsin judge, until the Chippewa County Historical Society purchased it in 1973. Currently, the house serves as a museum. The site is also available to rent for special occasions.
