Conwy County Borough Council (Welsh: Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy) is the governing body for Conwy County Borough, one of the unitary authority areas of Wales.
Political makeup
Elections take place every four years. The last election was 3 May 2012 , and is now governed by a rainbow coalition consisting of Labour, Plaid Cymru, Independents and the Liberal Democrats. Following the change of allegiance of the Lib Dem's only Cabinet Member to Labour in July 2014, the Lib Dems are not represented in the Cabinet but continue to support the Coalition which originated in the wake of the 2008 elections and was effectively returned to office in 2012.
