Connecticut's 39th assembly district
The Thirty-Ninth Connecticut House of Representatives district elects one member of the Connecticut House of Representatives. Its current representative is Democrat Ernest Hewett. The district consists of part of the city of New London, which is divided between the 39th and 40th districts. During the last week in February 2013, Hewett was stripped of his deputy speaker position after making a lewd comment to a teenage girl during a budget hearing.[1]
