Conkwell is a small settlement in Wiltshire on the county border of North East Somerset, England. It is 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) east of the city of Bath. The hamlet was established to house the workers in the local stone quarries. There used to be a small chapel serving the community, which has been incorporated into one of the dwellings.
At the end of the Dundas Aqueduct on the Kennet and Avon Canal a wharf was constructed serving the Conkwell stone quarries.[1]
