Confederation Life Building

The Confederation Life Building.

The Confederation Life Building on Richmond Street East in Toronto was built in 1892 by Knox and Elliot. The 7 floor Romanesque Revival architecture office was home to insurer Confederation Life. It is located at the North East corner of Yonge Street and Richmond Street.

A fire gutted the top floor of the building and destroyed the roof in June 1981, but the structure survived and was restored for new tenants occupying 157 Yonge Street and 20 Richmond Street East.
