Compass International School Doha is a private, co-educational school in Doha, Qatar. It is an international school with campuses located in Gharaffa, Madinat Khalifa, and Rayyan. It was founded in 2006 by Fieldwork Education to provide high quality learning to both local and international students and has rapidly expanded to provide outstanding learning to over 1400 students over three campuses. The school is now part of the Nord Anglia family of schools and which is the largest premium schools organisation in the world. At Primary level, the school offers the English National Curriculum for English and maths and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) for all other subjects. The Rayyan and Gharaffa Campuses operate as one Primary School and have classes from Early Years 1-Year 6 (age 3-11). The school has very warm and welcoming feel with a focus on a small school, nurturing environment. Madinat Khalifa is a through Primary and Secondary school which has classes from Year 1-13. At Madinat Khalifa they offer Primary and Secondary education for children aged 5 - 18. In Primary they follow English National Curriculum and IPC. In secondary from years 7-9, they follow the International Middle Years Curriculum which is secondary version of the IPC and is a broad based thematic approach to learning. This is followed by the English National Curriculum with exam courses at 16 for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for students aged 18.
The schools also teach Arabic, Islamic Studies and Qatar History in line with the Supreme Council for Education guidelines. Children from Year 1 onwards are taught French, Dutch (Mother Tongue)or Arabic ((Mother Tongue) and there is a comprehensive English as an Additional Language Programme for children who require support with their English.
