Compañía Nacional de Chocolates S.A.S (English: National Chocolates Company) is a food and beverage company headquartered in Medellín, Colombia and one of the largest companies in Colombia. It was founded on April 12, 1920 in Sonson, Antioquia, Colombia, as the Red Cross Chocolate Company. Expansion and diversification in coffee and chocolate beverages has allowed Compañía Nacional de Chocolates S.A.S to consolidate the market and position its brands in target markets in the Andean region of South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and the Latino communities of the United States and Canada. In 2003, the Company spun off its investment activity from the industrial and commercial activities for the chocolate business, creating the parent company—thus Compañía Nacional de Chocolates S.A.S was incorporated as a subsidiary of the parent company Grupo Nacional de Chocolates S.A.S.
