The Communist Party (Danish: Kommunistisk Parti) is a political party in Denmark.

History and profile

The party was formed in 2006 through the merger of Communist Party of Denmark (Marxist-Leninist) (DKP/ML) and Communist Unification (KS).[1]

The party publishes The Daily Worker (Dagbladet Arbejderen), a daily newspaper.[2]

Popular support and electoral results

In the 2013 local elections the party doubled its support in Copenhagen, from 0.2% in 2009 to 0.4% and 1,171 votes in the 2013 election.[3] In Aarhus, the party ran on a joint list with the Communist Party in Denmark, which obtained 0.2% and 345 votes.[4]
