Communications Research Group

Communications Research Group was a Baton Rouge, LA-based company which became a major international vendor of data communications software during the 1980s, and which software had as its nucleus the BLAST (blocked asynchronous transmission) file-transfer protocol.[1][2][3][4]

CRG grew to become recognized as one of the 100 largest microcomputer software companies in the United States, and it was ultimately acquired by dominant modem manufacturer U.S. Robotics in 1990.[3][4][5][6][7]
