Comedy Bar is a Philippine live comedy television series produced by GMA Network, hosted by Eugene Domingo, Allan K. and Fabio Ide, replacing Cool Center.[1] The show also seeks to discover new comedians through its live auditions. In August 18, 2013 (Sunday) Comedy Bar was re-aired on FOX FILIPINO which starts on Sunday only at 8:00-10:10pm.

Chronology

Launching and Airing (April – December 2010)

After the cancellation of BandaOke (Allan's previous weekly show for his hosting stint) they orally announced.According to an interview with Showbiz Central, the band will still be a band and it will be part of a new comedy show entitled "Laf Kita!" (as a former name before launching the program) but it renamed as "Comedy Bar".

Traveling in Abroad (December 2010 – January 2011)

The whole staff of the show is travelling to Dubai for the World Tour but it aired between Christmas (December 25, 2010) and New Year (January 1, 2011) It features Tomas which travel to Morocco.

Changing (January 2011 – October 2011)

The whole year 2011 had been change the show. On March–April 2011 one of the hosts of the show Tomas Gonzales who recently died last March 21, 2011 due to heart attack. First time made that the host who passing away in the history of the show. On July–August 2011 the commemorate the 1st Anniversary of the show in Zirkoh Bar Tomas Morato (which organized by Allan K [one of the hosts]) then they recently reformat the logo. they made their new co-host "Boobsie". the final episode was aired last October 29, 2011.

Cancellation (Post-Comedy Bar)

On October 29, 2011, the show was cancelled due to an unknown reason with the rating of its last episode as 2.7% (According to AGB). It was soon replaced by Just for Laughs: Gags (a reality gag show). Originally, the timeslot would be replaced by a with Iza Calzado as the main star.[3] However it was postponed due to his father's death who recently died last November 11, 2011 and eventually, two months after her father's death, Iza transferred to ABS-CBN last January 2012, further scratching plans on the said series. One of the possible reasons for cancellation may be due to the busy work schedule of one of the main hosts, Eugene Domingo, who is noted for starring in eight films in one year, for 2011, first actress in the Philippinees to do so.
