The Columbus Life are a team of the American Basketball Association began play for the 2009-10 season. Based in Columbus, Georgia, the Life played their home games on the campus of Carver high School. They were very successful for two year as a small semi-pro basketball team.
The Columbus Life are the first professional basketball team in the city since the NBA Development League's Columbus Riverdragons moved to Austin, Texas after the 2004-05 season, where they are now known as the Austin Toros.
The team's first season resulted in a loss of 101-104 in the first round of the playoffs. The Tigers faced the West Virginia Blazers on March 6, 2010 in Bluefield, West Virginia.
Anthony Jackson was selected as an all-star player for the American Basketball Association 2009-2010 season; Warren Beaulah was listed in the honorable mention section.
