The Colorado Kings is a 2010 expansion franchise in the American Basketball Association, based in Denver, Colorado. It was the first team to join the Rocky Mountain Division, but played as an at-large team competing against teams from the South, Southwest, South Central Division for 2010-11 while three more teams joined the Rocky Mountain Division for 2011-12. Home games are played on the campus of Green Valley Ranch Elementary School.
Team history
2010
Colorado was one of nine teams chosen to play in the Tri-State Showcase. The Kings opened up the 2010 season against the Texas Fuel and won the franchise's first game, 111-100, to start the year 1-0.[1] They finished the season 24-1 and reached the quarterfinals of the ABA playoffs.
