The Colorado Department of Revenue is the principal department of the Colorado state government[2] responsible for collecting governmental revenue and taxes within the state. The department has a regulatory role in the state, being responsible for the regulation of motor vehicles, gaming, and medical marijuana. The department further administers the Colorado Lottery. The department's regulations are contained in the 200 series of the Code of Colorado Regulations (CCR).
