Color the Cover
Color the Cover (stylized as Color The Cover) is the second cover album by Koda Kumi,[1][2] following her 2010 Eternity: Love & Songs.
Information
Unlike its predecessor, Color The Cover songs were remastered to have a modern vibe, but still hold the tune of the original tracks. The album contains electronic songs and ballads. Famous covered songs include X Japan's ex-member, hide's, solo song "Pink Spider" and Shizuka Kudō's "Blue Velvet". It also contains the remastered "Shake Hip!," originally by the famous Kome Kome Club. For promotions, Koda Kumi performed several songs, including "Shake Hip!" with their original artists.[3] It was also the first time Kumi and Kome Kome Club's Tatsuya Ishii shared a stage since Koda Kumi's 2006 single Kamen.
"Alone," originally by Mayo Okamoto, can also be found on Kumi's 2012 December single "Koishikute" as track #2.[4]

Trivia
- Alone, which features on both the album and her single Koishikute, was the song which Koda Kumi sung when she auditioned for Avex Trax's dream 2000 auditions, which lead to her being signed to Avex's sub-label, Rhythm Zone.
