Colonial Beach Public Schools

Colonial Beach Public School System was established as an independent school division in 1907. Colonial Beach Public Schools is an independent school system within the county of Westmoreland. CBPS serves the residents of Colonial Beach, which is a small town of about 3,000 people located directly on the Potomac River. Student enrollment Pre K-12 is approximately 600 students.

The district is defined by the Virginia Department of Education as having two schools, Colonial Beach Elementary (PK-7) and Colonial Beach High School (8-12).

Colonial Beach Public Schools is led by Kathleen Fidler Beane, Superintendent of Schools. Colonial Beach Elementary School's principal is Mary Pietras Fisher. Colonial Beach High School's principal is Andrew Hipple.
