Colleen Leigh Farrington[2] (born April 20, 1936) is an American model and nightclub singer.[3][4] She is the mother of Academy Award-nominated actress Diane Lane. She was also Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its October 1957 issue. Her pictorial was photographed by Peter Basch.[1]
Farrington was born in Davisboro, Georgia.[1] Before becoming a Playmate, Farrington was a fashion model in New York City and was a particular favorite of fashion designer Oleg Cassini. She also had some acting roles.[3][5][6][7]
She eventually married acting coach Burt Lane and divorced him in 1965, shortly after her daughter, Diane was born.[8][9] She later settled in Georgia.[3]
