Colin Williams (priest)

Colin Henry Williams (born 12 August 1952) was Archdeacon of Lancaster from 1999 to 2005.[1]

Williamswas educated at King George V Grammar School for Boys, Southport; and Pembroke College, Oxford. After an earlier career as a Solicitor he was ordained in 1982. After a Curacy at St Paul Stoneycroft, Liverpool he was Team Vicar in Walton from 1984 to 1989; Domestic Chaplain to the Bishop of Blackburn from 1989 to 1994; Vicar of St Chad, Poulton-le-Fylde from 1994 to 1999 before his appointment as Archdeacon;[2] and General Secretary to the Conference of European Churches from 2005 to 2010.[3] Since then he has been Team Rector of Ludlow[4]
