History

Coke Bust was formed by Nick Tape, Chris Moore, Jeremy Evens, and Matt Parsons during the summer of 2006 in Washington, DC. These members were known for participating in previous bands: Nick Tape in Bail Out, and Griptape; Chris Moore in Magrudergrind, Sick Fix, and D.O.C.; and Matt Parsons in Time to Escape andBail Out!.

Shortly after their formation, the band released their first demo recording, which was reformatted into a 7" record January the following year and released by Headcount Records in January 2007. During the summer of that same year, the band released their first EP, Fuck Bar Culture, on Third Party Records.

Following the release of Fuck Bar Culture, Coke Bust performed a series of brief tours prior to recording their second demo. Shortly after recording, original bassist Matt Parsons left the band to be replaced by Daniel Jubert. Under this new line-up the band recorded and released their first full length, the 'Lines in the Sand, which was released as a LP and CD by Six Weeks Records in May 2009.

Following the band's first full-length release, Coke Bust toured across the United States and Canadian tour accompanied by fellow Washington, DC band Sick Fix, with whom they share the same drummer.

Coke Bust did a few more short tours between 2009 and 2010 before recording their second proper 7" EP, "Degradation" which was released in the fall of 2010 on Refuse Records to coincide with their first European tour. "Degradation" was then pressed domestically on Grave Mistake Records in March 2011. In the summer of 2011, Jeremy left the band and was quickly replaced by Maryland-native James Willett.[1]

A split 7" with Vaccine, and a live 7" was released in July 2012.[2]
