Coggin College of Business

The Coggin College of Business is the business school at the University of North Florida. About 3,800 students are enrolled in the college, including undergraduate and graduate students. Programs are offered in the fields of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Financial Services, International Business, Management, Marketing and Transportation and Logistics. The Coggin College of Business is one of UNF's three original colleges.

Coggin is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.^[1]

Two of the college's majors, the international business major and its transportation and logistics major are designated as flagship programs at UNF.^[2]

Since 1973, the college's alumni totals over 13,500.^[3]

The Coggin name came in 2002 in honor of a $5 million gift from Luther and Blanche Coggin.

• The Coggin College of Business is an outstanding business school, according to The Princeton Review. It features UNF’s Coggin College in the 2008 edition of its “Best 290 Business Schools.”^[4]
• Has been ranked as one of the best business schools for graduate students in the nation.^[5]
• Coggin's logistics program was ranked as #13 in the nation by Supply Chain Management Business Reviews
• Coggin College seniors' average scores ranked in the 90th percentile in the Spring 2006 ranking on the Educational Testing Services' Major Field Test in Business.^[6]
• The Coggin College of Business has one of the few Student Managed Investment Funds in Florida, the Osprey Financial Group (OFG). OFG is a solely student run fund which has outperformed its benchmark since the inception in 2002.

Facility

The Coggin College of Business Administration building (or building 42) is the home of the college. The 60,000-square-foot (5,600 m²) facility has fourteen classrooms (with capacities of 36-54), an auditorium, two business technology classrooms, five student skills labs, and a special Trading Room for student Investment Analysts of the Osprey Financial Group. It opened in 1996 at a cost of $7.8 million.^[7]
