Coffee #1 is a coffeehouse chain based in the United Kingdom.
The chain is owned by Brains Brewery, a brewer based in Cardiff. Coffee #1 opened its first store on Wood Street, Cardiff in 2001. There are 39 Coffee #1 branches located across South Wales, Bristol and South West England.[1]
The company uses Fairtrade and fairly-traded, organic products across its range. Customers buying drinks can have a loyalty card stamped and after ten stamps, get the eleventh hot drink free. Coffee #1 makes a point of not offering its customers free WiFi.[2]
In 2010 Coffee #1 won the Best UK Coffee Chain Award at the Café Society Awards.[3] Coffee#1 retained this title in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
