Coenonympha mahometana is a species of butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in parts of the Tian-Shan region, mainly Kirgizstan, Kazakhstan and West China. It can be found in various humid habitats from grassy fields along streams at foothills (1,200-1,700m) to humid alpine meadows (3,500-3,700m)
Flight Period
Univoltime between June and July, depending on altitude and locality.
Food plants
Larvae feed on grasses.
