Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School is a public high school in Cocoa Beach, Florida. It was founded in 1964, and is one of two Brevard County high schools to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. In 2006, it ranked 46th on Newsweek's Top 1000 High Schools list. In 2008, US News and World Report ranked the school "Best," only one of three so named in Brevard County.[1] 1516 students attend.[2] Its school mascot is the Minuteman. The principal is Timothy Cool.


Recognition

In 2008, seven students were selected as National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, out of 28 total selections in the county.[3]

A team composed jointly of students from Cocoa Beach and Rockledge stood second in the world in the FIRST Robotics Competition world championship in 2007.[4]
