Cock o' the North (liqueur)

Cock o' the North is a brand of whisky liqueur, made by the Marquis of Huntly, in [aboyne Castle], Aberdeenshire.

This liqueur is made from a recipe found by the Gordon family in their archives. It is an interpretation of the drink given by the Cock o' the North (Dukes of Gordon and Marquesses of Huntly) to their soldiers before entering battle. It was originally made from distilled whisky, water and blaeberry (Scottish blueberry) juice. Cock o' the North is made from a single malt from Speyside in the smallest distillery in Scotland.
