Closer is the second studio album by American rapper Mike Stud. The title and release date were announced via YouTube on May 18, 2014,[2] and the album was released on July 7, 2014. Closer is the follow up to Stud’s first album Relief, which debuted in May of 2013.

Release and promotion

Singles

A music video for the lead album single, "Out Here," was posted to YouTube on May 4, 2014.[3] Prior to the album's release, Stud posted a music video for the album’s title track on his YouTube page.[4] Both tracks were produced by Louis Bell.

Summer Tour

Stud will embark on a nationwide tour, dubbed ‘The #StudSummer Tour,’ on July 10th to coincide with the album’s release. Starting in Philadelphia, Stud will visits various cities across the country including Chicago, San Diego, Dallas, Atlanta and New York City.[5]

Release

The album became available for pre-order on July 1, 2014, one week prior to the official release date and two tracks, "Closer" and "Movie," were made available for immediate download. Also on that same day, Pandora Premieres posted the entire album for online streaming.[6]
