"Close Another Door" is a song recorded by the Bee Gees. Released first on the Bee Gees' 1st album and later as a B-side of "To Love Somebody".^[1]

Lead vocals by Robin Gibb, joined by Barry Gibb in every choruses. This track was a rock number but near the end of the song, this track gets slower and featured the orchestral arrangement of Bill Shepherd.

Background

Unlike the songs in the album and along with two songs, it was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. Along with "To Love Somebody" this track was not dated but was recorded around April 1967. It was recorded in Ryemuse Studios also in London instead of IBC Studios.^[2]

On the start of the song, a voice of Robin was featured without any instruments singing

When Robin and Barry sings the chorus all of the instruments including guitars, bass and drums was played and they keep playing the following instruments on the first and second verse, second and third chorus, but the song gets lower when Robin sings 'So sad, so sad'. After the third chorus, the song gets lower again as the orchestra was heard, Robin sings:
