Credited with originating the word cleantech,[1] Cleantech Group owns the term as a registered trademark.

Cleantech Group is the producer of the Cleantech Forums which are global conferences including the flagship Cleantech Forum San Francisco and Cleantech Forum Europe.

In partnership with the Guardian, since 2009 Cleantech Group has produced the Global Cleantech 100, a list of the top 100 private companies in clean technology. The list is produced by combining Cleantech Group research data, with over 6,000 nominations and input from an expert panel.
