Claudio Yacob (born 18 July 1987 in Carcarañá, Santa Fe) is an Argentine football midfielder. He currently plays for West Bromwich Albion of the Premier League.
Career
Yacob began his career with Racing and made his debut 8 November 2006.
In 2007 Yacob was selected to join the Argentina Under-20 squad to play in the 2007 South American Youth Championship in Paraguay. He was also part of the U-20 team that won the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada.
He was Racing Club's captain since the 2008 Torneo Apertura until his departure from the club.
On 24 July 2012, Yacob signed for Premier League club West Bromwich Albion.[3] He made his Premier League debut against Liverpool. During his debut he was awarded man of the match.[4] In a highly successful debut season, in which Yacob developed a strong midfield partnership with Youssouf Mulumbu, Yacob won the club's player of the month award for March 2013.[5]

Personal life
When not playing football, Yacob enjoys playing the guitar and painting. He also describes himself as a big fan of The Beatles and Adele.[7]
