Classified Records

Classified Records is a record company based in San Diego, California. CJ Harris is its CEO.

With the intent to put the San Diego local music scene on the map, Harris purchased the license to Classified Records in 2006. Since then, he's partnered with William Banks, former manager of Hip-Hop group "Different Breed," and collaborated with "Syndicate Music Collective" to network a community of San Diego musicians. Together, they formed the "Minds of Nine". The "Minds of Nine" have hosted musicians at the Onyx Room, in Downtown. Weekly open mics are held on the studio patio, adjacent to the studio. A compilation album, introducing the artists is due in mid-December.

The San Diego record label has no affiliation with the San Francisco Bay Area origins.
