  35. Leeper, Justin (May 3, 2005). "Stella Deus: The Gate of Eternity Review". GameSpy. Retrieved 2010-02-04. Tactical role-playing is one of those genres I've been playing a lot in the last few years. For some reason, though, I haven't tired of it like I have military first-person shooters or Baldur's Gate-style action-RPGs. ... On the battlefield, any experienced tactical-RPG player will feel right at home. Most of my favorite gameplay aspects show up. I relish the ability to position my character and then say, "Screw it, that's not what I want to do," and it's easy to do here -- provided you haven't done anything major like used an item or launched an attack.
