Christopher Edward Berkeley Portman, 10th Viscount Portman (born 30 July 1958) is a British peer and property developer.
Portman estate
Viscount Portman and family ranked 33rd in the Sunday Times Rich List 2005 and 40th in the 2006 list, with an estimated personal fortune of £1,200m.
His fortune comes from his 110-acre (0.45 km2) central London inheritance, called the Portman estate, which is spending £40 million on an investment programme that includes the development of a shopping area, Portman Village.
Portman's other assets include shares in commercial properties in New York and Florida.
Marriage and family
Portman's heir is his oldest son, the Hon. Luke Henry Oliver Berkeley Portman (b. 1984) from his first marriage to Caroline Steenson.
He has two further sons, Matthew and Daniel from his second marriage to the Brazilian Patricia Martins Pim in 1987. [2]
