Christoffer Franzén is a Swedish musician, producer, multi-instrumentalist and composer from Gothenburg. He is known for his alternative solo-project Lights & Motion, in which he plays all the instruments and writes all the music, as well as produces and mixes. Franzén created the project in 2012 as a result of a longer period insomnia and gained worldwide recognition when his music was featured in Google's commercial at the Oscars in 2013.[1] His music has since been featured in multiple Hollywood trailers, fashion shows, commercials and TV productions.[2]

Musical career

Christoffer Franzén created the musical project Lights & Motion in early 2012, after having experienced a prolonged period of Insomnia. The band have so far released two full-length albums, Reanimation and Save Your Heart, both released in 2013 through the American independent record label Deep Elm Records, with the third one, Chronicle, slated for release in early 2015.[3]

In December 2013, Lights & Motion was voted as "The Best New Artist" in the annual polls by Post-rock on Facebook, the world's largest post-rock community.[4]

Equipment

Franzén has been a long time user of Fender Guitars. He has used the Telecaster, most notably, the 72 deluxe reissue and the thinline.

He is endorsed by Fender Guitars.
