Christoffel Bisschop
Willem Barents and Van Heemskerk
Christoffel Bisschop (1828 – 1904), was a Dutch painter.
Biography
He was born in Leeuwarden and trained at the Akademie van Beeldende Kunsten in The Hague.[1] He married his pupil Catherine Seaton Forman Swift (aka Kate Bisschop-Swift).[1] He is known for portraits and genre works.[1]
He died in Scheveningen.
