Christmas beer are seasonal beers brewed for consumption during Christmas or the winter in a number of countries. These beers are usually strong and spiced with a variety of unusual ingredients.
American examples date from 1975, when Christmas Ale was released by Anchor Brewery in San Francisco, California. Anchor formulates a different recipe for each annual release.[1] Red Nose Holiday Wassail is a beer produced by Great Basin Brewing Company [2] which is brewed with cinnamon, orange peel, cloves, vanilla and Nevada honey - it was their first bottled beer.
