Christian Stavrakis (born June 6, 1971) is an American filmmaker and cinema historian. Regarded as an authority on the horror genre (and on the work of director George A. Romero in particular), he has appeared on several DVD commentary tracks including the British BMG release of Romero's Dawn of the Dead (1978) and numerous releases of Knightriders (1981), another Romero feature. Both films feature appearances by his brother Taso Stavrakis.
Having worked behind-the-scenes on a wide array of film and television productions, Stavrakis's most notable project to date is his debut feature Mortal Remains, which was produced in collaboration with his partner Mark Ricche and their production company Cryptic Pictures.
