Christian Coral Cleveland Covington (born October 16, 1993) is an American football defensive tackle. He played college football at Rice.
Early years
Covington was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and attended Vancouver College. His father, Grover Covington played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.[1] During his prep career at Vancouver he had 276 tackles and 38 sacks. Covington committed to Rice University to play college football.[2] [3]
College career
After redshirting in 2011, Covington played in 12 games as a redshirt freshman in 2012. He had 43 tackles and five sacks. As a sophomore in 2013, Covington was named first-team All–Conference USA after recording 59 tackles and four sacks. As a junior in 2014, he played in only seven games due to injuries.[4][5][6]
After his junior season, Covington entered 2015 NFL Draft.[7][8]
