The Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology (CPIT), formerly the Christchurch Technical College, is an institute of technology in Christchurch, New Zealand.[2] It provides full- and part-time education leading to certificates, diplomas, applied bachelor's degrees and applied graduate diplomas in technologies and trades.
CPIT is one of New Zealand's largest tertiary institutions and is the largest polytechnic in the South Island.
Campus
CPIT has a centrally located campus within the CBD on Madras Street just to the south of Cathedral Square in Christchurch, New Zealand. The majority of programmes are taught here, with trades (carpentry, automotive, joinery, welding, fitting turning and toolmaking, plumbing, civil construction skills etc.) taught at CPIT's Sullivan Avenue campus on the corner of Sullivan Avenue and Ensors Road Opawa, in southeast Christchurch.
