Chris Grevsmuhl (born 23 February 1993) is an Indigenous Australian professional rugby league footballer for the South Sydney Rabbitohs of the National Rugby League. He primarily plays prop, second-row and lock.
Background
Born in Townsville, Queensland, Grevsmuhl played his junior football for the Hughenden Hawks and Townsville Brothers, before being signed by the North Queensland Cowboys. As a youngster, Grevsmuhl played for the Queensland Under-16s team.[1]
Playing career
In 2010 and 2011, Grevsmuhl played for the Queensland Under-18s team.[1]
In 2010, Grevsmuhl played for the Australian Schoolboys.[2]
From 2011 to 2013, Grevsmuhl played for the North Queensland Cowboys' NYC team.[3][4]
In October 2011, Grevsmuhl scored two tries in the Cowboys' 2011 NYC Grand Final loss to the New Zealand Warriors.[5]
In April 2012, Grevsmuhl played for the Queensland Under-20s team.[6]
In October 2012, Grevsmuhl played for the Junior Kangaroos.[7]
In August 2012, Grevsmuhl was named on the interchange bench in the 2012 NYC Team of the Year.[8]
In April 2013, Grevsmuhl again played for the Queensland Under-20s team.[9]
On 10 October 2013, Grevsmuhl signed a 2-year contract with the South Sydney Rabbitohs starting in 2014.[10]
On 13 February 2015, Grevsmuhl played for the Indigenous All Stars against the NRL All Stars in the annual All Stars match.[11] He scored a try on debut.[12]
In Round 1 of the 2015 NRL season, Grevsmuhl made his NRL debut for the Rabbitohs against the Brisbane Broncos.[13]
