Chris Burton (born 27 February 1981 in Dumfries) is a British heavyweight boxer, nicknamed "High Tower" and based in Darlington, County Durham. His record stands at 14 wins, and one loss in 15 bouts.
On 12 September 2008, Burton competed in the "Prizefighter" competition in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, going into the competition as the only undefeated contestant.[1] He defeated David Ingleby in the quarter-final and Lee Swaby in the semi-final, both by unanimous decision. In the final was defeated by Sam Sexton, after the fight was stopped 2:10 into the third and final round.[2]
On 23 March 2015, Burton was convicted of kidnap and is now facing jail.
