Chiton magnificus is a species of edible chiton, a marine polyplacophoran mollusk in the family Chitonidae, the typical chitons.
The distribution of Chiton magnificus ranges from the Galapagos Islands at the equator, to Cape Horn at 55° South: Chile, Haida Gwaii, Ecuador, Peru.
This species is found intertidal waters.
