Chippenham Park is an English football club based in Chippenham, Wiltshire, which plays in the Western Football League Division One, in the tenth tier of the English league system.

History

They were formed in 2012 by Chippenham Town FC. The idea was to encourage the thousands of children who play football in the local area a way of getting in to the English League System through starting in the good youth set up already in place, going to Under 18 level, then into the Park side and then Chippenham Town and onwards.

The 2012–13 season saw them start in the Wiltshire Football League Premier Division. They had a very solid first season, spending several weeks top of the league but ultimately finished third place. Because they finished in the top five they were able to apply for elevation into the Western League.

On Friday 24 May 2013 news came through that the application had been approved and they were to play in the Western League Division One.[1]

The 2013–14 will see the club play in the FA Vase for the first time.[2] Chippenham Town famously made it all the way to the final of the competition in 2000 and Park will be hoping to achieve a similar showing.

Also formed in 2012 was Chippenham Park Reserves who play their football in the Wiltshire Football League Division One. They are now known as FC Chippenham Youth.
