Chickenhead (song)
Chickenhead is a single off of the 2001 Project Pat album Mista Don't Play: Everythangs Workin', produced on Three 6 Mafia's Hypnotize Minds label.[1] This was the first individual hit of rapper Project Pat's career, which was mostly spent as a part of the rap group Three 6 Mafia. The song features hip-hop artists La' Chat, DJ Paul and Juicy J, all also of Three 6 Mafia at the time.
The song features a classic rap battle conceit, with Project Pat and La'Chat dissing one another for much of the middle of the song. It became a "Dirty South anthem"[2] over summer 2001 and boosted the album sales to platinum and making it the best-selling album for an independent artist off the Hypnotize Minds label.[3]
