Benton Cheung Yan-lung, CBE, OStJ, JP (born 18 April 1922, Hong Kong) is a New Territories indigenous inhabitant businessman and politician. He was born in a New Territories village in the North District nearby the Hong Kong-China border.[2] Graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of Dr. Sun Yat-sen (today's Zhongshan University) in Guangzhou, Cheung worked in his father's business in Hong Kong. In 1964, he was selected by the rural committees as the 16th chairman of the Heung Yee Kuk, representing the indigenous inhabitants. He was appointed to the Legislative Council of Hong Kong in 1981. In 1985, he became the chairman of the provisional Regional Council.
Actor Alexander Fu was his ninth son.
