It is located slightly north of Lockleaze and East of Filton. It is surrounded by MOD, Hewlett Packard offices and University of the West of England. Prior to construction the land was part of Wallscourt farm and Hewlett Packard. The structure of the village consists of a long central road called Long Down Avenue with a central village square to be constructed.
Transport links
The Cheswick bus link opened on 17 September 2012,[2] the link is to cut journey times to U.W.E by avoiding the Avon Ringroad and Coldharbour Lane which often become congested, also it is to be link to the new proposed Romney Avenue Bus Link to Lockleaze to further cut journey times between U.W.E and central Bristol.
The buses which currently use this link are the 11, 12, 13, 15 and 19 services run by Wessex Bus and the 18, X18 and 70 services run by First.
The village is within walking distance of Filton Abbey Wood Station and also has direct bus links to Bristol Parkway Station and Temple Meads Station.
