Chen Jian-yu (Chinese: 陳建宇; pinyin: Chén Jiànyǔ) is a politician in the Republic of China. He currently serves as the Minister of Transportation and Communications since 23 January 2015 and was formerly in the acting capacity since 9 January 2015.[1][2][3]

Ministerial appointment
On 9 January 2015, Chen was appointed as the acting Minister of Transportation and Communication after the resignation of former Minister Yeh Kuang-shih after his financial restructuring plan for Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation was rejected earlier on. He was officially appointed to the ministerial position on 23 January.[4]
