Kuchling's Turtle (Chelodina (Macrochelodina) kuchlingi)has been considered the same species as Chelodina oblonga for the last decade, however, the species has been resurrected[2] and is now believed to come from the Northern Kimberely regions of Western Australia, Australia. Little is known about the species and a number of research projects are underway to evaluate it.
