Chejerla is a village and a Mandal in Nellore district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. A local divine temple of the Lord ChennaKesava with unique old-age back history and the Sankranti festival is best celebrated by thousands of devotees.

Location

Chejerla is 55 km from Nellore, 26 km from Podalakur and about 16 km from Atmakur . Somasila is 18 km from Chejerla.. It is a beautiful green village with four water lakes in four directions.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Chejerla had a population of 4,456. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Chejerla has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 58%.
