Cheeka is a city and a municipal committee in Kaithal district in the state of Haryana, India. Municipal committee contains 17 wards here divided on population bases.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Cheeka had a population of 42126. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Cheeka has an average literacy rate of 59%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 65% and female literacy of 53%. However increasing daya by day as peoples are becoming more conscious about studies. 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Background

Cheeka is a big hub of businesses like rice mills and marble shops. A new grain market on Kaithal road has been constructed to facilitate the farmers and trades a variety of paddy and wheat.

One 220 KV Sub Station is their on Kaithal Road to meet the increasing electricity requirements of Cheeka and nearby villages.

One polytechnic college in Kaithal road complete to give diploma education for the students in Cheeka and all other places.

Education

For higher school education, Govt. Senior Secondary High School, Govt. Senior Secondary Girls School, and lots of other affiliated schools provide reliable secondary education services.

One Vocation Education Institute on Kaithal Road provided technical education.

Newly constructed Polytechnic College on Kaithal Road has variety of courses for boys and girls in the fields of Science and Technology.

Medical Facilities

There is civil hospital located on the Guhla Road, which provides medical facilities. Mahavir dal hospital also provides good medical facilities. Apart from these there are many good private hospitals like Barnala Hospital and Aurnoli Hospital. Cheeka is now a medical facilities hub for hundreds of surrounding villages.
