</pre> Check It!- The EP is the debut extended play by Detroit rapper Champtown, released via Straight Jacket Records in 1996.

Background and recording

Check It! was recorded and produced by Champtown, Hush, Manix of Bassmint Productions, and Tom Tucker. The lead single of the EP, "Do-Da-Dippity," was originally released with a music video in 1992, and reused for Check It! No solo tracks exist on the EP, and the featured artists include Uncle Ill, Da Ruckus, and Danny K. Kid Rock contributes scratches on the track "Armageddon."[1]

"Do-Da-Dippity"

"Do-Da-Dippity" was released in 1992 and re-released in 1996 as the lead single of Check It!. The seventh track of the EP, it is notable for its lyrics, which are aimed at the Insane Clown Posse. Allegedly, they "bit his style." The official music video features Eminem in his video debut. However, in 1992, Champtown and Eminem had a falling out and severed ties with each other.[2]
