Charles Winter Wood (December 17, 1869 June 9, 1953) was an American educator and actor[1] who was the second head football coach for the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers located in Tuskegee, Alabama and he held that position for four seasons, from 1897 until 1901. His coaching record at Tuskegee was 1 wins, 3 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 14th at Tuskegee in total wins and 14th at Tuskegee in winning percentage (.250).[2] Wood spent 30 years at the Tuskegee Institute in the English and Drama departments. He was also an actor.[3]

He died in 1953 at a hospital Queens, New York of an illness.[3][4]
