Charles Ronald Norgle, Sr.

Charles Ronald Norgle, Sr. (born March 7, 1937) is a United States federal judge.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Norgle received a B.B.A. from Northwestern University in 1964 and a J.D. from John Marshall Law School in 1969. He was an Assistant state's attorney of DuPage County, Illinois from 1969 to 1971. He was a Deputy public defender, DuPage County, Illinois from 1971 to 1973. He was an Associate judge, DuPage County, Illinois from 1973 to 1977. He was a Circuit judge, DuPage County, Illinois from 1977 to 1978. He was an Associate judge, DuPage County, Illinois from 1978 to 1981. He was a Circuit judge, DuPage County, Illinois from 1981 to 1984.

On September 10, 1984, Norgle was nominated by President Ronald Reagan to a new seat on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois created by 98 Stat. 333. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 3, 1984, and received his commission on October 4, 1984.
